 Adapter for off-road builds, buggies, rock crawlers. The adapter design connect vw engines and opel gearboxes in greater engine-to-gearbox angle 49° enabling:

  • a lower center of gravity on your offroad project car
  • engine oil pan doesn't interfere with the front differential
  • the driveshafts are nearly aligned in one axis.
  • This setup also makes it possible to use a single skid plate as a complete underbody cover for extreme offroad rides and competitions

Swap adapter for connecting VW 1.9 TDI / 1.8T engines to Opel Frontera gearboxes:

- 2.2 DTI gearbox + VW engine
- 2.2i petrol gearbox + VW engine
- 2.5 TDS gearbox + VW engine
- 2.0i gearbox + VW engine

Clutch:

The adapter is compatible with VW/Audi 03G911023A starter and the VW/Audi 026105269L single mass flywheel, along with a Frontera 240mm clutch plate with 8mm friction material thickness.
The flywheel must be redrilled to fit the VW LT van 3082 634 022 240mm pressure plate.
For high-performance builds, you can upgrade to the Sachs extreme pressure plate 883082 999707, which shares the same bolt pattern as the VW LT van pressure plate.
This is a popular and proven upgrade in the VW tuning community, known for increased performance and durability.

Alternatively, a 228mm flywheel kit may be used: VAL835041, VAL835005, F1A078NX, ADV183076 or a dual-mass kit VAL837041.
Custom Frontera clutch disc required.
