CNC-milled, CAD-designed swap adapter developed using a 3D scan of the original JEEP Ax15 gearbox bellhousing. Adapter plate is designed to connect Mercedes om647 2.7cdi, om648 3.2cdi engines to your:

  • Jeep Cherokee XJ 2.5 TD VM Motori (1995–1999), 85 kW, AX15 gearbox.
  • Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.0i Inline-6 (1989–1999), 126–142 kW, AX15 gearbox.
  • Jeep Wrangler YJ 4.0i Inline-6 (1991–1995), 131–135 kW, AX15 gearbox.
  • Jeep Wrangler TJ 4.0i Inline-6 (1997–1999), 130–135 kW, AX15 gearbox.
  • Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ/ZG 2.5 TD VM Motori (1995–1998), 85 kW, AX15 gearbox.
  • Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ 4.0i Inline-6 (1993), 142 kW, AX15 gearbox.
  • Jeep Comanche MJ 4.0i Inline-6 (1989–1992), 130–142 kW, AX15 gearbox.
  • Adapter is compatible with the same bellhousing as shown in the product photos.

Technical Details

  • Designed for use with the original Mercedes starter
  • Compatible with the Mercedes flywheel, custom Jeep clutch disc, and Mercedes pressure plate
  • Designed using 3D scanning and CAD software for maximum accuracy
  • All four positioning dowel holes are included
  • The position of the Jeep clutch release bearing may need to be adjusted or upgraded to ensure proper clutch disengagement.
  • The gearbox remains in the original Jeep position. The Mercedes engine is tilted to the right side in the direction of drive, exactly as designed by Mercedes from the factory.
