Offroad SPECIALS with Frontera TD2.8 gearbox + VW 1.9 tdi, 1.8t Adapter

 Adapter for off-road builds, buggies, rock crawlers. The adapter design connect vw engines and opel gearboxes in greater engine-to-gearbox angle 49° enabling:

• a lower center of gravity on your offroad project car
• engine oil pan doesn't interfere with the front differential
• the driveshafts are nearly aligned in one axis.
• This setup also makes it possible to use a single skid plate as a complete underbody cover for extreme offroad rides and competitions

Swap adapter for connecting VW 1.9 TDI/1.8T engines to Opel Frontera, Campo gearboxes:

• TD28 4jb1 gearbox

The adapter is compatible with:

• VW/Audi 03G911023A starter and the VW/Audi 026105269L single mass flywheel, along with a frontera 240mm clutch plate, 8mm friction material thickness. The flywheel needs to be redrilled to fit the VW LT van 3082 634 022 240mm pressure plate. For extreme power applications, you can use the Sachs extreme pressure plate 883082 999707, which shares the same bolt pattern as the VW LT van pressure plate + clutch bearing spacer.This is well know upgrade in the VW tunning comunities. 

This single-mass flywheel upgrade, widely used in the VW tuning community, is well known for improved performance, durability, and reliability in high-power applications.

• 228mm VAL835041, VAL835005, F1A078NX, ADV183076 single mass flywheel kit or dual mass flywheel kit VAL837041, VW/Audi 03G911023A starter, and custom Frontera clutch disc.
  

• Single-mass Valeo V835026 (or equivalent from Ridex, Sachs, etc.) clutch kit with a 240 mm Opel clutch disc. Use better friction material for improved performance.
  Use the 068911024H Audi/VW starter; the starter housing must be cut by 10 mm, as shown in the VW tips and tricks section.
  A 10 mm thick spacer must be installed between the flywheel and the crankshaft.

The adapter is compatible with the following engines:

• VE pump 1.9tdi: 1Z, AHU, AGR, AHH, ALE, ALH, AFN, AHF, ASV, AVB, AVG (These engines can be rebuilt into fully mechanical "MTDI" engines.)
• PD (pumpe duse) 1.9tdi: BSU, BRU, BXF, BXJ, ANU, ATD, AXR, BEW, BMT, AVB, AVQ, BSW, BJB, BKC, BLS, BSV, BXE, BPZ, AJM, ATJ, AUY, BVK, AWX, ASZ, AVF, BLT, ARL, BTB, BPX, BUK
