▸ Clutch and starter compatibility
- 228mm VALEO 835041, ADV183076 single mass flywheel kit and VW/Audi 03G911023A starter, with a Toyota clutch disc in the middle.
- WE RECOMMEND: The single-mass Valeo val835026 clutch kit (or equivalent brands like Ridex, Sachs, etc., which are aftermarket conversion kits for dual-mass flywheels) can be used with a Toyota clutch disc and the 068911024H Audi/VW starter. 10mm thick spacer between the crankshaft and the VW flywheel, starter housing modified by cutting 10mm as mentioned and shown on the VW tips and tricks page.
- You can also use the 240mm dual-mass flywheel that comes with your VW engine. Note: The flywheel must have startermotor gear teeth on the engine block side. Tip: For this setup, you can use the Sachs 2294 002 198 flywheel with a modified Toyota friction disc, a VW pressure plate, our 10mm crankshaft spacer and the customized 068911024H starter.
