Lada Niva + bmw e36, e46 gearbox + VW 1.9 tdi, 1.8t Adapter

An adapter that allows you to swap a Volkswagen PD 1.9 TDI or 1.8T engine into your Lada Niva while using a BMW 5 speed/6 speed transmission together with the original Niva 4x4 transfer case.

BMW gearboxes can easily handle the power of VW engines, and they also allow you to use a larger clutch.

The engine-to-gearbox angle is 0 degrees, so the VW engine will stand straight under your hood. A 15-degree option is also available in the VW + BMW section.

Adapter is compatible with:

• VW/Audi 03G911023A starter, bmw clutch disc, 050141117 228mm pressure plate, VW/Audi 026105269L single-mass flywheel.

• Vw/audi 03G911023A starter, bmw clutch disc, clutch kit val835005 valeo 701790 single mass flywheel or equivalents on your market (val835041, val835005, F1A078NX, ADV183076)

• The adapter is also compatible with the 228mm dual-mass flywheel kit Valeo 837041 or equivalents, Vw/audi 03G911023A starter, bmw clutch disc,

• Valeo 835026 single-mass 240 mm conversion kit, used with a 10 mm spacer between the crankshaft and flywheel, and the Audi/VW starter (part number 068911024H) with the starter housing shortened by 10 mm, as shown in the VW Tips section. 

• If you want to use the VAL835026 single-mass flywheel, or its 240 mm dual-mass version without a spacer, contact us via Gmail for a custom adapter plate modification.

• E36: 316i, 318i, 320i, 323i 
• E46: 316i, 318i, 320i, 323i, 325i, 328i 
• E34: 520i, 525i, 530i
• Z3: 1.8, 1.9 
• E39 525d / 530d m57 thin narrow block 1998–2003
• E38 730d narrow block 1998–2001
• E46 330d/330xd narrow block 1999–2005
• E46 320d m47 gearboxes 1998–2005
• Or simply measure your gearbox,  the dimensions are shown in the photos.
